Final(ish) Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-14
Final(ish) (“the app”) is an unofficial Android client for Frame.io, developed by an independent developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Adobe or Frame.io. Adobe and Frame.io are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Adobe in the United States and/or other countries.
Short version
- The app has no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no profiling.
- It talks to Adobe/Frame.io to show your content, and to our report relay only when you send a bug report or feature request.
- We never sell or share your data.
Who is responsible
Matteo Maraffio (Italy) is the data controller for bug reports and feature requests. Contact: finalish@matteomaraffio.com.
Your Frame.io account
You sign in with your Adobe account through Adobe’s own sign-in page. The app never sees your password. The access tokens Adobe issues are stored encrypted on your device and are used only to call the Frame.io API on your behalf. The app does not back them up to the cloud and does not send them to us. Your projects, files and comments stay between your device and Adobe/Frame.io, under Adobe’s privacy policy.
Signing out deletes the tokens and cached content from the device. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
Bug reports and feature requests
Sending a report is optional. Only when you choose to send one, the app sends us: - what you wrote (kind, title, description); - a screenshot and any images or screen recordings you attached, if you left them on; - app logs, if you left them on. Before sending, the app removes access tokens, sign-in codes, private link parameters and email addresses; - device and app information: app version, Android version, device model, screen size, language, network type, the screen the report came from, recently visited screens, your Frame.io account id and your Frame.io plan; - a random installation id, used only to limit abuse of the report service; - a keyed hash (HMAC) of your IP address network, used only to limit abuse of the report service.
Screenshots may show your clients’ work or other people’s names: turn the screenshot off or mark it up before sending.
Reports are used only to fix bugs and improve the app. They are stored in a private GitHub repository that only the developer can read.
You can also choose “Share report” instead, which hands the report to an app of your choice and sends nothing to us.
Legal basis
Reports are sent only with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete a report. The random installation id and the keyed hash of your IP address network are processed for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the report service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Retention
Reports are kept until the issue is resolved and for at most 12 months after, then deleted.
Processors and transfers
Reports travel encrypted (HTTPS) through a relay hosted on Cloudflare and are stored on GitHub, both in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to finalish@matteomaraffio.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it) or the authority where you live.
Demo mode
Demo mode loads sample images and videos from picsum.photos and download.blender.org, which see your IP address like any website.
Children
The app is not directed at children.
